Smør is located in East Village, NYC


Smør, which translates to butter in Danish, is a new Nordic eatery in the East Village by Danish owners Sebastian Perez and Sebastian Bangsgaard. Guests can look forward to a variety of Nordic delicacies including an array of Smørrebrød, grain bowls, salads and various toast options in a fast-casual setting. In addition, the menu will include plenty of smoked fish and pickled items, along with fresh, wholesome and seasonal ingredients.


Smør will start with an all-day menu but will add dinner service later down the road. The menu offers a variety of Smørrebrød, bowls, salads, toasts, and sweets. Some Smørrebrød options include Curried Herring with Soft Boiled Egg, Roasted Potato with Tarragon Aioli and Rye Crumbs; Smoked Salmon with Lemon Curd, Dill Crème, Marinated Cucumber, and Chicken Salad with Bacon, Pickled Shallots and more.


A sampling of the toasts includes Smashed Chickpea with Pickled Pearl Onion, Fennel; Avocado Toast with Smoked Dukkah; and Whipped Ricotta with Berry Compote, Thyme, Smoked Sea Salt. Other items include Buckwheat Noodle with Dill Pesto, Smoked Trout, Carrot; Roast Beef Sandwich with Remoulade, Pickles, Braised Cabbage, Crispy Onion; and Danish Pancakes with homemade jam and whipped cream. They also offer a variety of catering menus.
