"Genesis" is painted on acrylic polymer, a surface that allows watercolors to be wiped away for unique effects.  Framing includes an acid-free rag mat, glass and a silver metal frame measuring 28" X 36".  "Genesis" one of many works of Nancy's that have won awards in juried shows.

Nancy Stone is a Vermont painter and book artist. She is a member of Northern Vermont Artists Association, the Book Arts Guild of Vermont (which she co-founded), and a Signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society. Her acrylic & watercolor paintings and hand-made artist’s books have received numerous awards including ‘Best in Show’ and 'Juror’s Award’.  She taught art in public and charter schools as well as the Community College of Vermont.  In the past she has been a Flynn Spirit, the Artist-in-Residence for several Lyric Theater productions at the Flynn, and had a solo show in the Amy Tarrant Gallery.
