You have the unique opportunity to be a chef inside Bâtard — a Michelin-starred restaurant in the heart of Tribeca at 239 West Broadway (at North Moore). Whether you love food, love to cook or want to improve your technique this unforgettable experience is the right fit for you! Bâtard's Guest Chef for a Day program offers the unique experience of working inside a real professional kitchen. You will:
- Join Executive Chef & Partner Markus Glocker and his staff in Bâtard’s kitchen from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The culinary team will show you how raw ingredients can be transformed into an exquisite meal that appeals to all of your senses.
- Spend approximately 4 hours in the kitchen. This is a great opportunity to work with ingredients that you love but rarely prepare for yourself or to work on a cooking technique with which you are not familiar.
- Commemorate your day with a dinner for two! After you are done cooking in the kitchen, invite a friend to join you for a relaxing gourmet dinner at Bâtard. You will receive 3 courses with wine pairings!
- No experience necessary, just an appetite and a love of cooking!

This will be a live auction item at the event on May 7.
Special Instructions
- Chef experience is valid for 1 person (ages 18+)
- 2 week advanced notice required and scheduling is based on availability of both parties.
- Dinner for 2 is non-inclusive of gratuity.
- Not valid in the month of December. Other blackout dates may apply.
- Valid only Tuesday through Friday, with shifts beginning at 2 PM and ending at 7 PM.
- A mid-week date is recommended.
- Participant must be free from any colds or contagious illnesses on day of visit to Batard.
- Participant is required to wear chef whites (a professional chef jacket and pants) provided by Batard.
- Experience cannot be resold or re-auctioned.
- Travel and accommodations are not included.
Item certificate may be picked up the night of the Gala, mailed via USPS, or picked up at Third Street Music School after May 7 and until June 1 between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:30 pm or by appointment. Items expire a year from the auction close unless otherwise noted.
