Description-2017 Mountain Zinfandel
A bustling French café welcomes you at the curb with aromas of fresh dew on a sidewalk, sweet tobacco, and tea leaf, all while inviting you inside to try one of the pâtissier decadent damson plum cheesecake bars, drizzled with a warm raspberry compote all framed in by rich vanilla spiced latte’. Drink now, cellar for maximum 5 years. Pair with grilled quail with a plum chipotle sauce.
Opolo Vineyard is located at 7110 Vineyard Drive, boasts 80 acres of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The topographically diverse, coastal landscape provides for an intense and unique flavor profile. The heat and dryness of the east side vineyard make it an ideal microclimate for growing Bordeaux varietals. Home to 12 different varietals, the vineyard helps allows Opolo to create many unique wines as well as award winning blends.
At Opolo we believe a strong, cooperative relationship with the land and our environment is crucial. We practice sustainable methods in both the winery and vineyard operations in order to preserve our environment, water and local wildlife. Opolo is a “SIP” Certified operation as well as certified organic by “CCOF” in our 64 acre walnut orchard.
