Description

You are buying a spot to the Marbling Paper Workshop.

When: 9am-12 pm Mountain View Campus

In this fun workshop, participants will learn how to marble paper using the Turkish Ebru method. This is where acrylic paints are floated on a surface of carrageenan and combed and manipulated into designs. Traditional patterns will be covered, but the fun is in creating your own designs.

You do not need to be an "artist" to be successful with marbling. Each participant will walk away with 5-10 pieces of marbled paper. The papers can be used for a multitude of purposes, including covering books.

The class is taught by Jan Smith, WSP high school art teacher. Jan has her art degree in Book Arts and has been making books for over 30 years.

Come and join Jan for an entertaining afternoon!
