Description

One-Week Vancouver Island Family ‘Forest and Beach Retreat’

Escape the Bay Area hustle and bustle and enjoy a relaxing 7-night stay in a well-equipped west coast contemporary vacation home in a serene seaside community just outside the town of Parksville, British Columbia. Forest and Beach Retreat sleeps up to 6 (3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms), has a well-appointed kitchen and a private yard backing onto the lush cedar forests of Rathtrevor Provincial Park.

A five minute walk away is Rathtrevor Beach, often referred to as "Canada's Riviera" – a great family beach nestled inside the Georgia Strait.  Ideal for swimming, skim-boarding, sandcastle building, or walking a mile out at low tide… you’ll love this beach. Send the kids across the street for mini-golf and ice cream, walk to your massage appointment at the Grotto Spa, or enjoy a stroll with great ocean views in the provincial park followed by fish ‘n chips & a beer at cozy Black Goose pub right next door!

Use Forest and Beach Retreat as a launching point for day or overnight trips to explore the rest of the island. Vancouver Island is full of opportunities for outdoor adventures – from playing on the beach to surfing and whale watching, zip-lining, fishing, hiking to waterfalls and through huge cedars, and swimming in local waterholes. You can also explore local artist studios and galleries, as well as the famous Goats on the Roof market at Coombs. You might also considering hopping on a ferry and visiting a few of the numerous adjacent islands.

To help make your Van Isle experience special and memorable, the owners will be happy to meet with you and help you plan your perfect getaway, including figuring your ideal transportation options.
