Josef Frank (1885-1967) is a much-celebrated leading pioneer of Swedish Modern design whose textiles are displayed in the Josef Frank gallery at the lower level of the ASHM.

The Rox & Fix print shows mountain silhouettes with contours that draw the eye deeper and deeper into the pattern. This design approach is common with Chinese art, and it was a visit to the Chinese section of the Metropolitan Museum of Art that inspired Josef Frank with this design. The name is a play upon words where the Rocks and Figs motif became Rox & Fix.
