There is magic at Manzano Day School! It has been rumored that a gnome (his name is M.R. Gnome) comes onto the campus over the weekend and leaves a magical mushroom! 

Every Monday, a magical (handmade) mushroom appears on campus. They are always hidden in plain sight. M.R. Gnome places the mushrooms for the children to find. If a child finds one, it is theirs to keep. The source of the mushrooms is M.R. Gnome who also has a mailbox in front of Sandy Ortega's Second Grade Classroom in the meadow, if kids want to write to him. 

M.R. Gnome has made a special 007 Gala mushroom for someone to purchase. The top is ash, the stem is spalted sycamore, and the base is Bethlehem olive burl. The mushroom is dotted with swarovski crystals and the base is inlaid with gold leaf.
