The Rose Room Auction Project stems from an exciting lesson the children participated in: learning the very basics of wood technology and furniture joinery! The students in the Rose Room enthusiastically put together (dry fitted and glued) a set of two nesting tables. The tables are made of solid European Beech using traditional mortise, tenon and dovetail joints. The dimensions of the large table are 17”x17”x27.5”; the dimensions of the small table are 11”x11”x25”. The table tops are inset with glass displaying a spring garden scene which was artfully made by the students using colored tissue paper and glue. This was a remarkable team effort!
