Skip Class, Climb the Tower, & Picnic - Mrs. Zygmont & Mrs. MacGregor

Item Number: 181
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Skip the cafeteria and a couple of classes to dine al fresco with Mrs. MacGregor and Mrs. Zygmont! You'll picnic at the base of the Chime Tower, take selfies with the lions, and then, if you'd like, have the rare opportunity to climb to the top of the 50' tower where you will have a bird's eye view of the Merrimack Valley.
The Searles Chime Carillon Tower is a 50 ft granite tower designed by renowned 19th-century architect Henry Vaughn in 1896, and recently completely restored by the Methuen Festival of Trees. On a clear day, the open roof provides a beautiful bird's eye view of Methuen, Lawrence and surrounding towns.
This is an exclusive and rare opportunity to tour the Tower located on the Estate of the Late Edward Searles in Methuen.
The tower climb is optional and requires climbing narrow stairs, without a railing, to the top of the 50' tower.
This is a bring-your-own lunch, though Mrs. Z and Mrs. MacG will provide special treats.
