Join East Grand Rapids’ very own naturalist and author Lisa Rose in an exclusive, kitchen
workshop to learn about health, wellness and wild plants that can be used as herbal medicine.
Participants in the workshop will learn a set of herbal recipes and be able to test their own
medicine making skills. Participants will also leave with a few handmade herbal formulas for
your own home apothecary.

Special Instructions
Bio: Lisa M. Rose is an herbalist and forager with a background in anthropology and
a professional focus on community health. Rose’s career has included food work in
the NapaValley, Leelanau County, Grand Rapids and across the Yucatan, Brasil and
Nicaragua. She hasbeen part of growing the local food movement in West Michigan
from the ground up.
