Established in 1978, The San Francisco Children’s Art Center (SFCAC) is a child-centered community art organization that values the importance of process-oriented art instruction. At SFCAC, children experience the advantage of direct contact with professional artists and connections with their peers from different schools and backgrounds in a small, art focused setting. A Reggio Emilia inspired program, children are challenged to make creative choices through age-appropriate art activities including drawing, painting, sculpture and digital photography.

Under 5 Years
For toddlers and preschool-age children, we offer Side by Side, Little Art Makers, and Art Studio Classes

5 to 10 Years
For children over age five, we offer both Art Studio Classes, Topic Classes, and Workshops. Organized in an art studio format, teachers encourage curiosity, experimentation, and provide instruction along the journey of discovery.

Children do not need to be registered for an entire semester, individual classes are available.  Drop-ins are also available for certain classes but registering ahead of time is encouraged.
