Artist Statement:

I am always searching for an epiphany. My abstract acrylic paintings are achieved through an intuitive process of adding and removing paint of varying viscosity and transparency in a collaboration with physics, light and my tools. As I engage my subconscious and my hands with my materials and their physical properties I experiment until I am pleased with an arrangement of layers and effects such that the finished state of the piece is more interesting than if I had executed it with a logical plan. Sometimes serendipity happens.
