Description

These pieces were created by Anna Heinold, who is pursuing a BFA in fashion design at Lindenwood University.

Heinold took inspiration from this black evening dress worn by Lotawana Flateau Nims. The dress is made of crepe, a fabric that was popular in the 1930s for its ability to shape to the contours of the body when cut on the bias (diagonally). Lotawana’s husband was Eugene Dutton Nims, one of the founders of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
