Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Julie Metallo has been in the hair and beauty industry for the past 15 years here in Colorado. She has operated in her family-owned Rita B Salon while also teaching at Rita B University. Julie has traveled the world from styling at fashion week in Milano, Munchin, and NYC, to celebrity styling in Beverly Hills, Aspen, and other fabulous destinations. It has been a most amazing and rewarding experience for her to be a master stylist and educator in this industry.

Now, as the owner of JUL Hair & Beauty Salon, Julie is designing all hair types and servicing different people of all ages on a daily basis. Nestled in the cozy town of Basalt, Colorado, she has master experience in special design including but not limited to: hair cutting for men and women, hair extensions, hair color/hair color corrections, wedding hair design, special events hair design and imagery, makeup design, eyelash extensions, magazine editorials, photo shoots, media, movie and television production.

Currently, Julie’s main focus is on building her salon in Basalt and meeting the hair and beauty needs of the Basalt community. All people welcome!
