Gather up some friends to form a group of eight for two fun evenings of creativity in garden art ceramics while you sip delicious wine at the beautiful Bonny Doon studio of Walker and Steve Hum overlooking Monterey Bay.

The ceramic Art experience will begin with a quick introduction into the techniques of carving and slip trailing, followed by a few select design principles to get everyone inspired. Sip wine (6 bottles will be provided) and enjoy light snacks while you create beautiful ceramic art pieces for your garden or outdoor space.

Concerned about your creative and art making capabilities? No worries! You will have on-hand Steve and Walker’s combined 50 years of clay experience and 20 years of ceramics teaching. You will be amazed at what you can create.

Classes will be held in two sessions:

The first session will be centered on clay work. Each participant will be provided a “blank form” that they will transform into a fun piece of garden art using special tools and techniques. The second session will be used to glaze the bisque pieces created in the first session. There will be a two-week break between the first and second sessions to allow the work to slowly dry and then get bisque fired.

Class times are flexible, from Thursday thru Sunday.
