This is a RARE opportunity to meet the ten rescued chimpanzees at Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest, located in Cle Elum, Washington. The original group of seven chimps were rescued from a Pennsylvania Laboratory and arrived at CSNW June 13, 2008. For the majority of their lives, they were used in biomedical research prior to being housed for several years in a window-less basement with no access to the outdoors. Three new chimpanzees were an emergency placement from Wildlife Waystation in 2019. Since arriving at CSNW, all of these special friends have had sunlight, fresh air, healthy meals and friendship. They have transformed into expressive, playful and often mischievous individuals. They enjoy visits from humans and we can promise you won't be the same after looking into the eyes of these special beings. This package also includes a 2-night stay in a King or Double Queen room at Hotel Windrow in Ellensburg, WA, a short drive from the sanctuary. Terms and Conditions
- Santuary Tour is limited to four persons, no children under 12.
- Must be accompanied by a guardian if under 18.
- Sanctuary visit must occur before the end of September 2020 on a mutually agreed upon date and time.
- We suggest coordinating early to ensure finding a date compatible with your schedule.
- The sanctuary takes safety very seriously and you will not have direct contact with the chimpanzees but you will see them from a few feet away.
- Restaurant gift certifcate never expires
- Hotel Windrow gift certificate reservations may be booked any time, based on availability at time of booking but may not be used during Rodeo, Jazz in the Valley or Brewfest weekends.
- Hotel Windrow gift certificate expires December 31, 2020.
