La Esquina; this chain of hip new taquerias has acutely designed retro decor - its locations all look like 1950's diners that got stuck in time - but the Mexican menu is full of modern, yet authentic, takes on chicken quesadillas, barbacoa lamb-shoulder tacos, elote callejero (grilled corn with mayo, cheese and chili powder) and tortilla soup.
