Viola is native Italian and Bay Area resident with 30+ years personal and professional experience in Italian food.  Viola has been teaching passionate home cooks at the intersection of Italian table culture and California agriculture for 10 years. She’s the Italian resident instructor at 18Reasons since 2010 and at The Civic Reason since its opening. She also serves as the food advisor for the SF’s Italian consulate general and cultural institute. She writes the weekly column Fresh for MissionLocal.org and leads cooking retreats and trips in the Bay Area and Italy.
