Description

The successful bidder for this item will receive Laura Santi's breathtaking depiction of Vajrakilaya, a Tibetan Buddhist guardian deity. He is one of the protectors one meets in the Bardo, guiding us to a higher rebirth.

Fierce heruka Vajrakilaya holds the magic dagger called a Purbha in his hands. Purbhas can fix the sky to the earth, establishing an energy conduit between them to change the weather - or they can pin down demons and negative thought-forms, be they in a person or a society. Like catching a leprechaun to get him to grant you three wishes, you have to pin them down to be able to wrestle with whatever negative energy is stuck and making all those problems!

Ms. Santi began her art career as a graphic designer and then met her spiritual teacher, Sri Swami Chetanananda Saraswati. The halls of his ashram were lined with thangka paintings and she fell inlove with the art form. In 2000, Swami Chetanananda Saraswati met Lama Tsering Wangdu Rimpoche and became an initiate into a second lineage, which he passed to his students, and to Laura, and her interest turned into her passion.
