Karma and Faith by Karma Phuntsok and Faith Stone is an exploration of Tibetan Buddhist art influenced by the West and, in turn, of American art influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. The two come together in a blending of cultures with Buddhist art at the core. Both artists are interested in making the Buddhas in a contemporary way and by doing so, making them more accessible to the world and our times.

Ms. Stone paints contemporary Buddhist and Hindu art. She finds the joy in painting Buddhas is creating the space and environment for the deity to reside. "The idea is that once the painting is completed, the deity moves in. The painting no longer belongs to the artist. It is the home of a Buddha." Ms. Stone is also author of Drawing Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. "I want everyone to paint Buddhas, it’s the best!"
