Crestone Retreats welcomes the successful bidder for this item to create their own personal two-night retreat in 2020 in the simple, concentrated, and nourishing atmosphere of Crestone Mountain Zen Practice Center. It is open for booking by individual guests from May through early January.

Guests will have private accommodation in The Guest House, a spacious building with a quiet atmosphere in the center of the campus. The five private Guest House rooms are the largest accommodations Crestone offers. Each room has a downstairs area with a single bed and desk and an upstairs loft with a double bed. All rooms have a sink, a little area to prepare tea, and wireless internet.

The retreat includes three vegetarian meals per day. As an individual guest, you will eat the same food as the monks and residents, yet without the oryoki ritual. The meal will be served in three bowls, carefully composed to highlight individual textures, tastes and colors. It’s simple, unpretentious, healthy, delicious food, in which we strive to let the voice of each ingredient be heard in the chorus of flavors.

Crestone Mountain Zen Center is located on the western slope of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in southern Colorado. Nestled against rugged 14,000-foot peaks and surrounded by 240 acres piñon pine and juniper forest, the beauty and seclusion of our Center is a unique environment for contemplation and inquiry.

Crestone Mountain Zen Center offers residential monastic Zen practice and meditation under the guidance of Head Teacher, Zentatsu Baker Roshi, Dharma Heir of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, and Resident Teacher, Zenki Dillo Roshi, Dharma Heir of Baker Roshi. Zen practitioners are welcome to join the daily schedule or apply for a variety of Zen programs.
