- receive tips on scenting formulations,
- find out how to source raw ingredients from suppliers,
- learn about different types and methods of molds that you can use, and
- learn how to do all of this without the use of any synthetic or artificial ingredients!
Soap made the old fashioned way! The workshop fees include all raw materials for students, taking home approximately two pounds of cured, scented soap.
The course instructor will be Guy Rochon, Owner of Blue Cabin Natural Products in Tatamagouche, NS. Guy has over 30 years of experience with natural soap making.
Workshops are held in the Blue Cabin soap making studio in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. During the summer months of July, August and September, workshops are held at the historic Sutherland Steam Mill!
At Blue Cabin Naturals Products (BCNP), the word ‘Natural’ isn’t taken lightly! Keeping things simple and natural is a philosophy, and a complete way of life. Bringing back the old ‘tried and true’ ways of making things - before the modern age of chemicals - is something that BCNP strives to achieve. We're all about leading a natural and healthy lifestyle - and part of that means paying attention to what we come into contact with. Our bodies are now seemingly littered with toxic and harmful chemical substances that we come into contact with on a daily basis. There are much better ways of doing things!
