Renowned portrait and landscape painter C.P. Beaty (whose portraits of Ruth Bader Ginsburg are soon to hang in the US Supreme Court and the Brooklyn Museum!), will teach you and up to four friends the basics of portrait, landscape or still life (your choice!) painting in her private Dorset, Vermont studio.  

Your artistic journey includes three one hour-long sessions, three times in one week, post or pre-lesson lunch included. Your classes will include: some basics of oil painting, mini-history of selected style, anatomy and proportions of the human head (for portraiture), correct color selection and correction for your selected style, and the artist’s special tips and tricks.  You will either paint from a live model or from photographs, although if from photos, then one class will be devoted to photo selection, photo pitfalls, and elementary photography for painters.  A packet of class notes will be given out at the end of class, and all students will leave with a surprise gift bag!
