Built on a Batson custom graphite blank, this 6 foot 6 inch dedicated small stream fly rod is rated for a 2 weight fly line.  As a 2 piece rod it is perfect for back packing into those out of the way streams.

The custom built cork handle is totally hand-made from cork burl that gives the handle more rigidity with no increase in weight.  This contributes to improved sensitivity in detecting strikes.

The wood inlay “checkerboard” at the center of the handle is placed in a high pressure point to help resist wear over time.

The reel seat is built totally in my shop.  The cocobolo wood insert was turned from a highly figured block of wood and is coated with spar polyurethane varnish to preserve the wood from water damage. 

Guides are a combination of double foot and single foot stainless steel manufactured to deliver high strength with low weight. 

All thread wraps are custom “ Reel Recovery”colors designed and coated with UV resistant epoxy sealant that remains flexible and color consistent for the long term.  

Includes a custom designed and produced “CherryLog Rods” faux leather rod sock.
