Description

We have a treat for you history, literature, and California Gold Rush buffs - two tickets to hear the New York Times best-selling writer William Martin (author of Back Bay, Mayflower, Cape Cod, and City of Dreams) talk about his latest historical novel, Bound For Gold: A Novel of the California Gold Rush. This hour-long writer's event takes place in Boston's Back Bay on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 6:00pm. The location is the American Ancestors/New England Historic Genealogical Society Research Center on Newbury Street, just steps from the Public Garden (for you shoppers - between Ralph Lauren and Simon Pearce stores!) The evening event includes a talk and A/V presentation followed by a book signing.

In Bound For Gold William Martin takes us into the amazing world of 1849 America and illuminates our country’s history of westward expansion. This historical novel features the return of modern-day treasure hunters Peter Fallon and Evangeline Carrington, heading to San Francisco to reconstruct a Gold Rush journal.
