Description
You and seven friends will learn how to store and preserve the harvest with this cooking class by Laurie Zerga of Chef K. Then, relax and enjoy a diverse wine-tasting led by Sommelier Jennifer Jesperson. Cooking and wine, how divine!
Living in Sonoma county we have access to an abundance of local harvest. Take advantage of that abundance and learn the simple pleasures of preparing and preserving food. Daily Acts’ culinary expert Laurie Zerga founder of Chef-K, a culinary health education organization for kids, will teach the winner how to can our local and seasonal produce. This experience for 8 people is ideal for anyone who wants to learn to store the peak flavors of harvest time. Depending on the time of year, you can make tomato sauce like Laurie’s Noni, or delectable jams from seasonal fruit. You’ll learn canning techniques, bring home a sample, and share a taste with the group.
After your cooking class, relax and enjoy a wine-tasting led by Sommelier Jennifer Jesperson. Taste great wines from our region while learning about the complexities of each glass.
Hosted in a private home in a beautiful peaceful setting in Sebastopol.
