Battleship IOWA Museum is owned and operated by the Pacific Battleship Center
(PBC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission focuses on Education,
Veterans, and Community. Over the course of 70 years, from the Second World
War through the Cold War, the USS Iowa (BB-61) has served the country by
safeguarding democracy and promoting American diplomacy. As one of the last
surviving battleships of her kind (the most powerful naval vessels ever to sail) and
as the West Coast’s only battleship museum, Battleship IOWA continues her
service as a museum and a tribute to America’s enduring legacy. Currently, we are
transitioning to become the National Museum of the Surface Navy at Battleship
