Egg tempera, hand processed pigment & mica on panel

Theresa Pedrotti earned her BFA in Painting at RISD where she studied pigment making and egg tempera painting. She makes the pigments she works with from rocks, minerals, and colored earths. She is currently experimenting with wild plant based dyes in alum/soda. Oak Branch is made of hand-processed mineral pigments in egg tempera and mica on wood panel with plaster gesso. This unique piece was created in July 2019. The detail work on the leaves was done using a magnifying glass and a sewing needle.

This item can be shipped or picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 5-9, 2019. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
