Description

Oil

26"x 20" x 1.5"

Ronna A. Pate works in oil, pastels, ink and colored pencil. In 2018, she received People's Choice 3rd Place Award at the AAM's Flower Show and a Juror's Award 3rd Place at the Arnolds Mills Community House. Her work has been exhibited at Blackstone River Theater, Cumberland Public Library, Warwick Center for the Arts and West Side Diner, among others.

On a day trip to Provincetown MA during a hot August, the word "sizzle" kept coming to mind. The artist painted an orange sky to bring that sizzle into her piece. The steeple of the Town Hall building is depicted on the right; the other structure is Pilgrim Monument. The artist loves steeples for their elegance and unique history.
