Jay Montgomery has studied the art of ceramics for 45 years. He has learned his craft through classes first in high school, then at an Adult Ed Community Center, and then though years of practice at home. He has sent his pieces as gifts to friends and family all over the world, and is most recently donating bowls to Attleboro’s Empty Bowl Project. 


Piggy Bank in Koi Pond is a multi-stage hand built piece. Jay Montgomery made his first Piggy Bank in 1981 as a gift for his first daughter. He has continued to make Piggy Banks as baby gifts ever since. He has made over 200 banks in the past 38 years. Each bank takes up to two weeks to make. It is a labor of love.

A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.


 The Bidding Increments are as follows:


   $1-99, the bidding increment is $5


   $100-199, the bidding increment is $10


   $200-499, the bidding increment is $20


   $500-999, the bidding increment is $50


   $1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100


This item can be shipped or picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 5-9, 2019. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
