Leather and Lumber is a still-life painting created from the artist's collection of baseball artifacts. The leather baseball, wooden bat, worn glove and catchers mask represent the ageless symbols of America's greatest pastime, baseball. The painting was created in oil paint on canvas and accented with a rich gold frame. Peter's baseball paintings are represented in many private collections. In October of 2018 Peter's baseball paintings were included in an exhibition titled "Only a Game" at the Bristol Art Museum in Bristol, RI.
