These gorgeous original paintings in textural, saturated reds with contrasting whites and blue-grays, were created by Nick Efstathiou, an up-and-coming artist whose life has been transformed by the power of art.

Nick is a fourteen-year-old student with learning differences who found inspiration and self-confidence when he began painting two years ago at his school for special-needs children, the James Baldwin Academy in San Leandro.  His talent was obvious right away and he hasn't slowed down since, with his works featured in several local art shows and exhibitions.
