Description

This vintage, elegant Lusterware serving set has five blue and yellow dishes with blue birds and one orange dish with flowering branches, these six dishes surround a round central blue and yellow dish with a blue bird.  The pieces are handpainted.  Each piece has a "Made in Japan" stamp.


This Lusterware serving set is in a 12 inch round box.  The beautiful red box is enamel hand painted with flowers.  


Likely from the 50's this serving set is mysterious with the one piece a different color and design yet it fits perfectly into the design. 


Perfect appetizer trays and you will be the only one with this design!

"Porcelain set of lusterware that was made in Japan. Lusterware is a technique that is centuries old. The iridescent quality is the result of a metallic glaze that is applied during the last firing. Objects that were marked "Made in Japan" were made from 1921 to around 1941".
