Description

Napa Valley Zinfandel Lover - 3 Bottles

* Maroon 2014 Zinfandel, 2 bottles

* Clos Du Val 2013 Zinfandel, 1 bottle

Maroon 2014 Zinfandel: Maroon Wines loves the 2014 vintage, as the growing season was relatively consistent, with no major heat spikes. The wines from 2014 are displaying ripe fruit, great structure, and balance.

Clos Du Val 2013 Zinfandel: Clos Du Val has been making Zinfandel since its inception in 1972. We continue this great tradition with a wine that is ripe, round, and exciting to the senses. The color is a deep, opulent purple and the nose opens to aromas of black forest fruits, exotic spices, and vanilla. It has flavors of blackberry pie, warm chocolate, toasted spices, and jam. The textures are smooth and silky with a soft roundness met with vibrancy. It will pair well with grilled or barbequed meats, roasts or simply on its own.

Maroon Wines: Maroon handcrafts a number of very small production wines from vineyard sources that may change from year to year. While the vineyard sources may change, their winemaking philosophy does not – focusing on creating 100% varietal wines (no blending). These wines are often only made available to their wine club. www.maroonwines.com

Clos Du Val: Clos Du Val, French for “small vineyard estate of a small valley,” was founded in 1972 in the renowned Stags Leap District by Franco-American vintner John Goelet. The winery was first recognized for its Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons at the famed Judgment of Paris in 1976, establishing its place as one of Napa Valley’s most iconic winery estates. Still family-owned today, Clos Du Val farms 350 acres of estate vineyards in the Stags Leap District, Carneros, and Yountville appellations. Focusing on this diverse palette of fruit, Winemaker Kristy Melton makes elegantly structured wines notable for their balance, complexity, and vivid fruit character. www.closduval.com
