"Wait upon the Lord .... upon wings like eagles" wood burning is based on the popular scripture from Isaiah 40:31. It has been hand-burned on a coin of Balm of Gilead tree from Monction, NB. This tree was used in ancient times and is used today for it's medicinal and healing properties. Balm of Gilead was carried by caravanthroughout the Middle East and Egypt. Jesus has referred to as "the balm of Gilead" (Jeremiah 8:22), and this adds significance to the wood burning.
