Description
Start or add to a coin collection with this genuine ancient Jewish quarter shekel, minted in 68 CE in Jerusalem by the leaders of the First Jewish Revolt.
As with other coins of this period, it bears the inscription “year two” on one rise (left) and “freedom of Zion” on the other (right). Scholar David Hendin calls this the first Zionist slogan in Jewish history. Fine/very fine. Hendin 1360.
