At a recent Social Action Committee meeting, Rev. Chris mused that it would be wonderful if someone could make little prayer cards celebrating Unitarian Universalist “saints.”

Jess took up the charge and has been hand-drawing these cards, reminiscent of the Virgin Mary card she received at her first confession, decades ago. In place of Mary and the saints of old, Jess is serving up Dolly Parton, RuPaul, Malcolm X, Zora Neale Hurston, and more. Each card includes an inspirational quote “prayer” on one side and a hand-drawn portrait on the other.
