About The Artist: York, PA Firefighter HERO, Erik Swanson, is also a life long artist, community creator and animal lover/advocate. In March of 2018, Erik was involved in a tragic on the job accident that resulted in the loss of two of his firefighter brothers. While searching for hotspots at the top of a 5 story building, it collapsed. In May of 2018, Erik created a firefighter scholarship fund in honor of his fallen friends .It has raised over $80,000 to date.E

Erikhas been creating these pet portraits locally for years. He is a close family friend of ours. The portrait used for this auction listing is our dear loving LIBR rescue, Rocco Romeo... Rocky passed away this past June at the young age of 4 from bone cancer. Erik created this sweet portrait as a living legacy of our cherished boy. He wants to share his gift with the LIBR community!
