Winner will receive a $160 Certificate to be used toward Music Therapy, Early Childhood, or Instrumental Tuition in any of ChiME's programs currently being offered through e-learning or in the future at our West Town facility.
Our mission at the Chicago Center for Music Education (ChiME) is to use the language of music to inspire self-expression, self-growth, and deeper human connections for all people. Our goal is to provide long-term access to the many gifts the language of music provides in hopes that one day all Chicagoans will value that language. We believe that the universal language of music holds gifts that help us improve our everyday lives. Music opens our hearts and minds to beauty around us; it gives us a vehicle to express our voices; it encourages us to grow into excellence; it helps us connect with other people without the need to say a single word. It nurtures us, inspires us, and connects us no matter where we come from or where we are going. From goal-setting and discipline to empathy and compassion, music study equips us with skills and character traits that help us become better humans.
We provide our students with the gift of music through the following programs:
• Early Childhood
• Classroom-based instruction for Kindergarten through 8th grade
• Ensembles
• Private Lessons
• Music Therapy
