Inspired by the heart images of artist Jim Dine, first graders used oil pastels to color two small squares, a warm-colored heart on a cool background and a cool-colored heart on a warm background. The hearts were then combined into one vibrant image. These hearts are a great reminder to “Love the Lord your God with all your HEART, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself" (Luke 10:27).
