Third grade students learned about Vincent van Gogh and his swirly, textured paintings of sunflowers and other scenes. Each student painted one sunflower, using acrylic and fabric paint to create texture. The flowers were then arranged in a mixed media scene of a vase full of blooming sunflowers.
