Joyce’s painting style has been described by some as Expressionist and by others as Impressionist. But many have called her a colorist because of her vibrant and instinctive use of color. She loves to paint en Plein Air, and participated in two Saranac Lake Plein Air Festivals.  Joyce also spent a week each summer for eleven years painting on Monhegan Island, Maine, where she reveled in the splendid light, the beauty of the ocean, the sunshine, and the spectacular sunsets. 

A longtime member of the VT Pastel Society, Joyce has served as its membership chair, and is currently on the Board. She exhibits primarily in VT in solo and group exhibitions. www.facebook.com/JoyceKahnFineArt
