We have dedicated volunteers who not only rescue feral and strayed cats, but they put food out for these cats too.  Sometimes it takes a while to get that little cat hiding under the porch, to come out and trust the person who is bringing them food.  That will help our volunteers to trap that cat and find it a home.  Sometimes there colonies of feral cats - cats that never have had people in their lives - and some of those are never able to be in a home.  We trap those cats, get then vetted and spayed or neutered and put them back where they came from.....
