"Since 1951, Camp Thoreau has been fostering youth development by building confidence, teamwork, responsibility and friendship in our campers. We pride ourselves on a truly unique and fulfilling camp experience packed with traditions and camp rituals. Our day camp, nestled on 35 wooded acres in historic Concord, MA offers a variety of sports, specialty and traditional camp programs for ages 4 - 18.



NEW to Camp Thoreau this summer are a variety of specialty camps to meet the growing needs of our campers! Whether you want to sing and act, dance, tap into your inner ninja warrior, play a mix of sports, or improve your tennis skills - Thoreau has what you need. Mix and match your week to week schedule to get the most out of your summer. Each day consists of 3 periods within your specialty and include some free swim and traditional camp programming.



We have before camp coverage starting at 7:30am and after camp coverage until 6pm (for an additional fee); regular camp hours are 8:45am - 3:45pm. Half-day options are available for our youngest campers (4 - 7) and transportation is available."
