Fashioned from a completely organic pre-shrunk cotton/poly blend, these scarves are hand-dyed by the people of Kalandar. The scarves come in a variety of dyes including blue, green, grey, pink, orange, turquoise, and brown. Due to the wide variety of color, we are unable to offer a particular to color to each buyer. Therefore, there is a ‘surprise factor’ when purchasing this item.

These are crafted by the Kalandar women. As many of you know, the project to successfully bring an end to 'dancing bears' in India was successful because of the focus on retraining the Kalandar people to have a new way to earn an income for their family. Instead of exploiting wildlife, they have now learned new skills to earn an income for their families. Many of the women now create handmade items that are sold to support themselves.
