About the Artist: Kris Loya grew up on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. Surrounded by the vibrant colors of tropical flowers and blue-green seas, it was only natural that she would become an artist. Largely self-taught, Kris has been playing with watercolor for more than twenty years. In recent years, she says she’s come to value it as her meditation practice. She hopes her images may bring people joy, peace, and a moment of silent contemplation.

From the Artist: Kris says, “My heart belongs to my florals! I dabble with painting pretty much anything: Pet portraits, fashion, quotes, etc., and I always return to my florals at some point. If I feel uninspired I pick up my brush and dab on a few flowers and it helps me feel the magic. Loose florals make my heart sing!”
