About the Artist: Gabriela Sepulveda, also known as The Ivory Bunny, is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, currently lives in Springfield, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelors in Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and a Masters in Graphic Design from Atlantic University College. 

She said, “As an artist, I am too restless to be working on one thing at a time. I currently work as an illustrator for Footsteps Press on their ongoing series Blueskin the Cat. I also enjoy painting clothing and accessories and taking them to conventions. But my favorite work of all is painting the natural world. Doing scientific illustrations and painting endangered plants and animals is what really makes me happy.”

Gabriela looks at her art as an escape. Her art serves as a gentle reminder that life, all life, is beautiful and should be protected.  She combines elements of both flora and fauna to create a type of surrealist portraiture with the voice of conservation behind it.
