Description

“Safari” - Giraffe Gouache/watercolor on crescent hot press illustration board. The word safari originated from the word “safar,” which is an Arabic verb that roughly translates to mean “to make a journey.” This piece honors all the rescued animals that have made their journey to a rescue facility. It contains a humming bird, a crowned crane, zebras, an elephant, a mongoose, water buffalo, and a beetle, with a majestic giraffe being the main event.

Size: Approximately 7" x 11"

From the Artist: I have been an illustrator for 25 years. I’ve recently stopped being a commercial artist and have opted to be a fine artist, which was my goal 25 years ago! I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband, two kids, four cats, one great Dane, and about 50 fish.
