Afsar is 14 years old but focused beyond his years, as he wishes to become a police officer when he grows up. He studies in S.D.D. Public School, in Uttar Pradesh. His teachers praise his sincerity and regularity in attending school, especially his favourite subjects – English and Hindi. He is a bright student who enjoys playing cricket as well as football.

The Kalandar community was once dependent on the barbaric practice of dancing bears for sustenance.
